Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests you can cater for?

No event is too large or too small for us! We cater events of all sizes – from a handful of guests at a private dinner to hundreds at a big function. There’s no strict maximum; we can scale up our team and food quantities as needed. For very small groups, we typically recommend a minimum of around 10 guests to make a full catering order practical, but we’re flexible. If you have a smaller group, just reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Do you offer delivery and on-site food truck catering?

Yes, we offer both options. We can deliver your order and set everything up at your venue or bring our Greek Street food truck to cook and serve on-site – it’s your choice. With our drop-off catering service, we’ll bring trays of freshly prepared Greek cuisine to you, ready to enjoy. If you opt for the food truck, it will roll in and serve your guests right there at the event, which adds a fun, street-food vibe. Either way, we’ll make sure your event is deliciously memorable and hassle-free.

What setup and equipment do you provide?

We take care of the essentials so you don’t have to worry. Our catering team will handle the setup of the food service area and provide all the necessary serving equipment. This includes chafing dishes to keep food warm, serving trays and tongs, and other utensils needed for buffet-style service. If you need disposable plates, cutlery, and napkins, we can supply those too. Essentially, we bring everything needed to serve the food, ensuring you have a complete setup for your guests.

Which areas do you service? Do you cater outside of Adelaide?

Greek Street is based in Unley, so we primarily serve Adelaide and surrounding areas. We regularly cater events all across the Adelaide metro region and nearby suburbs. If your event is outside the city (e.g. in outer suburbs or regional areas), just let us know – we can often accommodate it. An additional travel fee may apply for long distances, but we’ll be upfront about any extra costs. Our goal is to bring our Greek flavors to as many people as possible in Adelaide and beyond!

Can I customise the menu for my event?

Absolutely! We pride ourselves on offering flexible catering packages and custom menus tailored to your event’s needs. While we have popular set menu options, we’re happy to adjust dishes or even create special items just for you. Have a favourite Greek dish you’d like to include or certain appetizers you prefer? Let us know. We can also incorporate seasonal ingredients or family recipes if available – whatever it takes to make the menu perfect for your event.

Yes – we have plenty of options for various dietary needs. Greek Street’s menu features many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. In fact, some Greek classics are naturally diet-friendly (think hearty salads, grilled veggies, dips like hummus, etc.). We’re also happy to adjust or create dishes to meet your guests’ specific dietary requirements. Just let us know about any allergies or special diets (nut-free, dairy-free, etc.), and we will ensure everyone has something delicious to enjoy.

Do you use sustainable or eco-friendly packaging?

We do our best to be environmentally conscious. For drop-off catering, we use recyclable or biodegradable packaging and utensils whenever possible, so there’s minimal waste. We avoid harmful single-use plastics – you’ll mostly see eco-friendly containers and cutlery with our deliveries. Our team also follows green practices like recycling and proper waste disposal after events. If you have specific sustainability requests or preferences (for example, using all compostable materials), we’re happy to accommodate. Enjoy great food with peace of mind that we care about the environment too!

How far in advance should I book catering?

We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance to secure your date. This gives us enough time to plan and prepare everything to our standards. That said, we know last-minute events happen – feel free to contact us even if your event is just a few days away. We’ll do our best to accommodate late requests whenever we can. Popular dates can fill up fast, so the earlier you reach out, the better, especially for larger events.

How do I book my event with Greek Street Catering?

Booking is easy. Just give us a call or send us a message to get started – we’re available 7 days a week. We’ll discuss your event details (date, location, number of guests, menu preferences) and then help you select the perfect menu for your occasion. To confirm the booking, we’ll likely request a deposit (more on that below), and once that’s sorted, you’re all set! Our team will guide you through the whole process from start to finish, making it super easy for you.

How is pricing determined, and is a deposit required?

Our pricing is based on your menu selections and the number of guests. Once you tell us what you have in mind, we’ll provide a clear quote – either a per-person price or a package price for the whole event, depending on what makes sense. We can adjust the menu to fit your budget, suggesting options that give the best value. To secure your date, we do typically require a deposit when you book. The deposit confirms your event on our calendar and will be applied toward your final bill. The remaining balance is usually due closer to the event (we’ll let you know the timeline, so there are no surprises). We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers for payment, and we’ll issue a detailed invoice/receipt for transparency.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please inform us as early as possible. For cancellations made well in advance (for example, a week or more before your event date), we can often refund your deposit or apply it as a credit toward a future booking. If a cancellation happens closer to the event (say within a few days of the date), a cancellation fee may apply or the deposit may be non-refundable – this is because we have likely already purchased ingredients and prepped for your event. We always aim to be fair and will consider emergency situations. In some cases, we might be able to simply reschedule your catering to a new date rather than cancel. Our goal is to work with you, so just keep us in the loop and we’ll find the best solution.
